Customized Residency Lists with free IMG Friendly Lists

The Customized IMG Friendly List:

This is not only an IMG friendly list but also customized to applicants’ credentials. Since 2004, Match A Resident has provided thousands of residency applicants with customized lists yielding an incredible number of positive outcomes. Our system works by eliminating programs whose requirements do not match your current status in the database. The five commonly asked questions by residency programs that are also used by our system in order to eliminate irrelevant programs are:

    Are you a Foreign Medical Graduate (FMG)?
    Are you looking for visa sponsorship (J1 and/or H1B)?
    Do you have United States Clinical Experience (USCE)?
    How long have you graduated from Medical School?
    What are your USMLE Step 1 and 2ck scores?

Here is an example:

i) If you are a foreign medical graduate (IMG/FMG), the Match A Resident system will automatically generate a match list that is IMG Friendly. This assures that you only apply to those programs that indeed have IMGs (IMG friendly customized list).

ii) The system then takes into consideration the rest of the credentials. For example, if your USMLE scores are 75 on steps 1 & 2ck, the MAR system automatically generates a list of programs that do not have minimum score requirement, in other words programs that do not care about the USMLE scores. That means if any program requires 76 or above, the MAR system will exclude them from your customized list. Remember, the same procedure is repeated using the other credentials. A final list is generated based on all credentials combined.

*To add more accuracy and strength to the lists, Match A Resident has added the strictly reported USMLE attempts requirements in an “additional comments section”. This allows you to view potential programs that may have an exception to the USMLE attempts by looking at other stronger credentials such as high USMLE scores or strong USCE.
